So I decided to be productive by fixing some things on the site that I realized were somehow broken last night, which in turn has made my life a bit easier now.

  1. I turned on commenting, so that the 3 of you who read the site can now comment on the nonsense I write if you’d like to at some point in time.
  2. I set up the “related posts” feature so that when you read a post, it’ll show you any other posts that the system may think would be relevant enough for you to read.
  3. I fixed the twitter system on the sidebar so that it now looks neater & is no longer a jumbled mess.

I’m hoping eventually that these things will help spark some interactivity between myself and anyone reading the site, I figure it would make things more interesting.

Have you ever had moments where you can’t concentrate and it sounds like there’s a busy train station in your head? I’ve felt like that ever since I got to work tonight for some reason & i’m not really sure why. I tried watching a movie hoping that it would calm my mind down, but that didn’t work. Same goes for listening to music, nothing. Hopefully writing will calm the noise down so I can actually concentrate on things.

I think the weather is starting to turn the corner into getting warmer that it has been, because the last few weeks have been nice enough to the point where I don’t have to wear my huge jacket when I go outside now. I’m hoping this year though that we have some sort of transition from winter to summer, since last year we went directly into both seasons with a sprinkle of spring & fall mixed in for maybe a week or two. Why am I even talking about the weather? That has to be the most boring thing to speak about, especially when you can only go in so many directions with it, but hey, that’s what popped into my head at the time.

I need to do some cooking when I get home tonight, so I can have food to take with me to work tomorrow, instead of ordering out again. Not that I mind ordering out, but it’s been a while since i’ve had my own cooking & I actually miss it for once. I wanted to cook today, but sleeping in seemed like the better idea at the time, so the most I got down was thinking of what i’d cook tomorrow and then seasoning up the meat so I wouldn’t have to rush in the morning. I figured that i’d broil some chicken breasts & have some ravioli with it as well, seems like that would be a nice combination for a Saturday meal. That would also give me an excuse to use the flickr account I made and upload pictures of the aftermath to show off my cooking skills. I suppose if I don’t get lazy after I work i’ll go ahead and do that as well.

I need new music, desperately. I’m getting tired of listening to the same stuff over & over, because I can’t find anything else to listen to that I like. Looking at those “top ____ songs” lists don’t help either, because either those songs suck, or they only made it on the list because of who made them which I guess would also fall into the “it sucks” category as well. Fact of the matter is, if anyone could be so kind to recommend some music to me, i’d really appreciate it. It doesn’t matter what is it, i’ll try it with open ears in hopes of catching something I like.

Is it just me or does it seem like the internet is a barren wasteland when it comes to sites? Now I say this because earlier I was going through my bookmarks to see what needed to be deleted or not so I could clean everything up, when I came across a few sites that I hadn’t been to in ages. I get a bit excited with thoughts of how I always used to visit the site and began to wonder what it looks like now. Low & behold, however, the site was nothing more than one of those spam pages where it shows the name of the site and a bunch of links to shopping and such. I suppose it goes to show how easily you can just give up on something when it comes to the internet and not even think twice about it. For instance, if I didn’t care to blog anymore I could just choose not to come to my site anymore and let the domain expire. I may have lost $10, but in the end at least I wouldn’t have to bother with it any longer. Could you imagine what the world would be like if you could do that with anything?

No wonder most people have become so impatient nowadays, it’s because the internet has taught people that they can cut & run without thinking twice. I admit though that I’m guilty of this myself. If a site takes too long to load, I end up closing it & moving on to the next thing. Now that I think of it, that would probably explain why I stopped going to those old sites I had in my bookmarks. They took too long to load for me one day and the stigma of that made me not even want to bother with the site anymore. In result, I stopped going there & forgot all about the place. Moral of the story here folk; having patience is actually a good quality, because sometimes wanting to rush all the time will cause you to miss something in the end.

Amazing how the internet has made us so impatient, isn’t it?
